Saturday, June 24th SJI Farmers Market Line-Up:

LAST WEEKEND OF JUNE - the longest days of the year!! At the market this Saturday: fresh and local produce, prepared food, arts and crafts! There is also live music and recently added vendors from San Juan, Waldron and Lopez Island.

Market Menu!

Fresh Flower Bouquets: Siri Thorson, Susi Wampler and Blue Moon Produce.

Breakfast: Cafe Demeter and Cynthia's Restaurant treats, plus Cole's High Country Coffee. Prepare a fresh breakfast over the weekend with: a loaf of fresh Cafe Demeter bread, a spinach omelet with a dozen local eggs, island jam, salt, strawberries, honey and chèvre! Girl Meets Dirt, San Juan Island Sea Salt, Federico Farms!

Lunch: Paellas San Juan, Jake Beliveau, and Westcott Bay Shellfish Company oysters, and Island Pearl Bubble Tea!

Dinner at Home: grilled steak from Guard Sundstrom's local beef, a fresh salad with carrots, radishes, and snap peas: Blue Moon Produce, Sweet Earth Farm, Ten Alders Farmstand, Heritage Farm, and Thousand Flower Farm. A salad topped with fresh goat cheese from Lopez Island's Sunnyfield Farm. Grilled asparagus, beets and oysters, and napa cabbage for making delicious slaw or kimchi!

Fresh Sheet:
Eggs: Fresh chicken and duck eggs.
Dairy: Local goat chevre, feta, yogurt and milk.
Meat: Island grown, pasture-raised: beef and lamb.
Vegetables: First of the year cucumbers, snap peas and strawberries! Purple carrots, beets, arugula, bok choi, braising mix, chard bunches, kale bunch, lettuce mix, mustard greens, napa cabbage, pea shoots, radishes, salad mix, spinach, salad turnips, yukina savoy, asparagus, scallions
Herbs: First of the year basil! Chives, lovage, thyme, dill, edible flowers, cilantro, lemon balm, parsley, rosemary, oregano, marjoram, sage, loveage, comfrey, anise hissop, lemon verbena, mints, catnip
Flowers: Mixed bouquets AND hanging baskets!
Plants: Veggie starts and potted fruit trees (outside plaza).
